In August 2009, we took part in a media tour organized by the Corridor touristique francophone de l’Ouest and the Ecomonic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities. Like too many Canadians, we had never been in Manitoba most likely due to the popular belief that we would only find flat landscapes covered with fields as far as the eye can see. Our short stay proved to us how much we were wrong! The province abounds with unsuspected wild nature and the French-speaking and métis communities have so much vitality! We are anxious to go back and discover other treasures.
