The Oak Hammock Marsh is one of the best places in Canada for bird watching. The site offers more than 30 kilometers of trails over its 36 km2 area. Nearly 300 bird species find refuge here. We were welcomed by a groupe of white pelicans and became acquainted with a friendly family of Richardson's ground squirrels.

The Oak Hammock Marsh is also home to the Ducks Unlimited Canada's headquarters. The center has received numerous awards among which we find the World's Best Environmental Experience awarded by British Airways in 2002.
