Mission
Polar Horizons' mission is to promote and share our passion for the polar regions by offering a diversity of products, services and events aimed at allowing us to quench our thirst for discovering the nature, history and cultural diversity of these regions.
It is important for us to support and encourage initiatives that aim to inspire young Inuit, to give them hope and a sense of belonging. Polar Horizons is therefore proud to get involved and to donate a portion of its revenues to the such initiatives. The project that we currently support is:
Artcirq is an initiative that is offering Igloolik's youth the possibility of expressing itself through the art of circus. This social circus has allowed several young Inuit to open their horizons and travel throughout Canada, Europe, Africa and South America. Igloolik's youth now knows that it is entitled to dream and that those dreams, even the wildest ones, may very well become reality.
